A New Day!

July 25th
Having Thursday off from cross country I was able to wake up later in the day, it was around 7:30 a.m. and I got up and took a shower. As I walked to the kitchen my phone started to ring it was a call from Mrs. Gartin, saying she was on her way to pick me up to babysit. I rushed and got some cereal and ate it as fast as I could, most of family was around the table eating their breakfast stared at me wondering why I was shoving food in my mouth. The doorbell rang, the dogs began barking and I pointed in the direction of the door and you could hear Mrs. Gartins voice. They all just nodded their heads and went back to eating their breakfast but occasionally looking at me probably thinking how crazy I was trying to eat all that cereal in such little time!
Mrs. Gartin started talking to my parents and I was listening she talked about how they had just moved into the area and she just need someone to help her empty boxes and watch her 5 children. We left the house and drove to her house, soon enough she was working on her dining room and sitting room while I was upstairs with 3 of her children. Later one of her daughters Emma came up the stairs into the game room with 2 big boxes that had already been unpacked and folded up, she told me that she was going to make a house and call it 'ye old hut' it even had a password! She got the packaging tape and scissors and constructed the walls and roof then she cut a door that was able to open and close then a window. She brought the markers out and we were all able to color on the outside and inside of it. The second youngest Elise asked me to make a butterfly, with a flower and a 'slithery worm', with a rainbow in the background!
My Rainbow!
After about 4 hours of helping her unpack china and helping put the youngest down for a nap and cleaning up packing popcorn she took us all to Burger King and all got 50 cent ice cream cones!
But while I was at the Gartins home the family was in the pool taking in the sun.
Mrs. Gartin dropped me off and once I got inside everyone was settling down and eating lunch and thinking of what to do for the evening. After putting my bag down and saying hello to everyone, I got the ironing board out and got some of my dads work shirts and started ironing.
Then turned on one of the best movies that never seems to get old, The Sandlot!
After finishing the movie and finishing about 15 shirts and 2 pair of dress pants, we all ate all together for dinner and afterwards we said how about another game? Mom brought up how she had gotten a new game named Quelf! We were playing and there are some odd things you have to do. For example Raquel had to make a fort and stay in it till it was her turn again. Who thinks of these kind of objectives?

July 24th

I woke up around 5:45 am to go to cross country practice, which starts at 6:30 am. As Kristine, Raquel and I drove in to the high school parking lot I looked for my coaches car, but it wasn't there. I walked up to the locker room where all the runners met and I asked one of the girls where coach was, she replied she was at Sea World!
No worries there were two other girl coaches to take good care of us and make us work as hard as possible. We started with a mile warm up and since it was Monday that meant we were going to do a track workout. It was a tiring workout full of 600 meter runs, strides across the football field and a 800 meter cool down. Afterward we drove home and as we walked in the door Raquel explained how she wanted to do laps in the swimming pool. So Raquel and I got dressed and went to go tell my dad that we were going to the pool, he immediately questioned "isn't the pool closed today?" We then realized it was Monday, pool cleaning day!
We soon found out though that a friend of ours had a pool day on every Monday during the summer and soon we got all the family together (except the men who were at work) and jumped into the car and drove over to the house. We played around with all the children and then as it always happens at the pool, the timed passed by and it had already been 2 hours and it was time to go. While we dried off Eden, Raquel, Kristine, Michelle, mom, and I discussed how we all had gotten hungry... lets go to Panera Bread! We all got back into our cars and went and ate. Afterwards Eden explained how she needed to go to Target to get a few things and everyone said that they all were going to go home and wash off. Raquel and I decided to go with Eden and have some sister time.
Soon enough we were home and washed off. It was time for me to start doing my daily requirements; playing piano, writing in my journal, and studying for my PRA (Princeton Review Assessment) and my practice ACT and SAT by doing online classes with the Princeton Review.
Later on that night after finishing the assignments, the boys had come home from work, we were all together as a family and so we got the dinner ready and sat down together and ate around the table. Later on mom got the bingo out and as a family we talked and played till it was time for everyone to go to bed.
